Skincare Essentials Everyone Needs
Whether old, or young, girly, or edgy, we all need to take care of our skin. With so many brands and influencers throwing products at us it can be super overwhelming knowing what you need to have healthy glowy skin. Have no fear though because I am here to share the most essential skincare products with you!
Essential 1
The first essential that I want to share with you isn’t an actual skincare product at all! It is something that you can find in your home. I, of course, am talking about water. Water is not only essential for life but drinking plenty of water each day helps our skin stay hydrated, improve our skin tone, prevent premature aging, reduce puffiness, and can even help prevent acne.
Essential 2
Now I want to mention some products that your skin will absolutely love! For the daytime I can’t recommend enough that you use an SPF. No matter your skin tone/color an SPF is essential for not only protecting your skin against the sun’s harmful rays, but it helps reduce your risk of skin cancer! No matter which brand of SPF you choose make sure you’re applying it every morning. Even if it’s a gloomy, cloudy, or rainy day. Those sun rays are still peeping through the clouds and can damage your skin.
Essential 3
This next essential is probably a no brainer but I can’t write a blog post about skincare essentials without mentioning moisturizer. Daily use of moisturizer can help prevent extreme dryness for those of us with dry skin and it can also prevent extreme oiliness for those of you who have oily skin! Depending on the ingredients in the moisturizer, it can also help fix or prevent different skin problems! If you have dry skin, then a more cream based moisturizer is best and if you’re oily try using a gel-based moisturizer to get your skin in tip top shape.
Essential 4
The last skincare essential that everyone should incorporate into their routines is Retinol. Retinol is best used at night because it can react badly to the sunlight. It is a powerful ingredient that can prevent/reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol also fights acne and, my oily girls pay close attention here, it can even help decrease oil production! It also helps boost collagen production, giving us that plump skin we all crave.
I hope that these essentials have helped you to realize that we don’t need 50 different products to get beautiful skin. By incorporating these few essentials you can have the skin of your dreams.
