5 Tips for Staying Productive During COVID-19
The past couple of years have been quite crazy haven’t they? With the pandemic making its waves around the world its totally understandable if you are feeling unmotivated from being stuck at home or not fully being able to enjoy all the things you used to so I wanted to share with you my top 5 tips for staying productive during COVID-19.
1.) Schedule your week
Setting up a routine for yourself during this time is super important. If you don’t plan out your week then you may find yourself binging that Netflix show you previously didn’t have the time to watch and laying around doing nothing.
Humans need routine so scheduling out your day will really boost your productivity. Schedule time for a great at home workout sesh, or plan out one area of your home that you can clean each day. With all the extra free time you have its a great time to learn some new habits that’ll benefit you in the long-run.
2.) Learn something new
with all the extra free time a lot of us have this is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill. For me, I really wanted to learn how to cook new and healthy meals. My cooking skill were very minimal… Im talking frozen pizza, and easy mac level skills here. After being in lock down I have learned how to cook quite a few nutritious meals from scratch.
Take some time and reflect on what it is you would like to learn. It can be anything from applying makeup, cooking, painting, sewing, literally anything your heart desires. There are so many resources online for you to use to explore and try new things so take this opportunity to grow your skillset.
3.) Stay Connected
It is so important to stay connected with friends and family during this pandemic. Make sure you’re not completely isolating yourself from the world. There are so many different ways to stay in touch with the loved ones in our lives. You can schedule Zoom calls with your friends and family, or start group chats them via text. Checking in on your loved ones and keeping those connections are so important while COVID-19 is spreading so make sure you’re doing what you can to stay in touch with everyone.
4.) Invest in yourself
Take time out of each day to invest in yourself. This can be done by a plethora of things such as keeping up with your skincare routine, or updating your resume. Really look at yourself and reflect on things that you want to accomplish during this time.
You can never go wrong with investing in yourself so really think about what it is that you can do to level up yourself, and your life.
5.) Designate a work space
My last tip for how to stay productive during COVID-19 is for those of us that have been working from home. It is very important that we designate a work space for ourselves so that we can be as productive as possible. If you don’t have an actual office space you can set up a desk, or small table in your room.
I get that it can be really difficult to focus all of your energy on work if you have kids, or pets. Try your best to make sure that you have a quiet and secluded area to work and get all of your tasks done.
